Tree & Shrub Planting
Tree and shrub planting is one of the most direct ways to shape the future of your land. Together we look at your soils, sunlight, and existing vegetation to choose species that will thrive, support wildlife, and fit your long-term goals for the property.
I focus on native trees and shrubs that are well-suited to the Driftless Area, paying attention to how each planting will grow over time. That means thinking about canopy layers, seasonal light, and how roots, leaves, and branches will interact with the rest of your woods, fields, or yard.
Planting is done by hand. I can connect you with cost-share programs through the DNR, NRCS, and Fish & Wildlife Service to offer technical guidance.
I can also help with layout, species selection, and follow-up care so your new plantings establish well and move your land toward a healthier, more resilient future.
